Watch this short video, and find out how there are 5 main causes of Lower Back Pain, but only one of them is from your back.
Hi guys. Tom from ReachHealth here. Today I wanna talk to you about a really common cause of back pain so often misdiagnosed, and this is your SIJ joint. The SIJ joint is the joint just between the buttocks right through here, its not the spine but its between your buttocks. That area there is really responsible for holding up that stability within the pelvis, the hips, and the lower back. So commonly we tend to injure it with just the simplest of actions such as picking up an object down on the ground, and that strains that whole area. We often think thats the back but its actually the SIJ joint.
So today I wanna show you an exercise that will help stretch that whole area and try relieve your back pain. So sitting on a chair, bring one leg up, bring it unto your opposite knee both hands… hinging from the hips, just trying to reach down. You want to hold this stretch for about 30 seconds or so until you feel a release through the bottom. If you found this video helpful please like and share, or comment down below. Thank you.
