Plantar fasciitis is a really really common complain that lots of people suffer from.
Things with plantar fasciitis is the structures on the base of the foot aren’t generally the contractor muscles, so there’s nothing actually to create that tension within the foot. What does create that pull and that tension is actually the calf muscle as it comes down into the achilles tendon which is then continuous with the structures of the base of the foot that get tied with plantar fasciitis.

Plantar Fasciitis – Step on it! Let’s get this fixed
Plantar fasciitis feels like walking on glass. It is often worse when getting out of bed in the morning.
There are two types of plantar fasciitis:
1. Caused by the “normal calf muscles”
2. Caused by a grumpy muscle called TIBIALIS POSTERIOR
Both types of plantar fasciitis are quite easy to treat, even if other people have told you it will take ages to heal.
