When is Migraine Not a Migraine?
Migraines are one of the most commonly misdiagnosed headaches. While the full cause of migraines is still poorly understood, there are some mechanical triggers that lead to a migraine. If we catch those triggers before they lead to a migraine, then everyone is happier.

Hi everyone! Mel from ReachHealth here. Today I want to talk quickly about migraines. Migraines is something that very commonly diagnosed but quite often misunderstood. They have a lot of variability in them in that they affect different people in different ways, and the actual symptoms of a migraine are very, very different person to person, even headache to headache. Something that we notice here at the clinic is that a lot of people get told they suffer from migraines when they’re really presenting with what we call more of the classic tension headache. So of that, that is a headache created by tension through neck and jaw referring to the head. Also with migraines there can be a mechanical component to the migraine …a mechanical trigger if you like. Again, that same spot of tension in the neck and the jaw can contribute to that migraine style headache. If this sounds like you, please get in touch. I’ve been Mel from ReachHealth. Thanks for watching.
