Today I want to talk about knee pain and why its not always a structure within your knee that’s creating the pain.

So knee pain, that’s what we call diffuse or non-specific, so just generally around the knee joint rather than a specific structure or a specific spot, generally is coming from the muscles that affect the knee. That being your quad, your hammy, and your calf down here at the bottom.

Your knee is a hinge joint so it’s a super simple joint. So it’s relying on those three muscles for its stability and its control. And when there’s an imbalance in those we often get that diffuse knee pain.
